Queen Kat's Challenge Card

I wanted to at least make one card for World Make a Card Day - so I did Heathers challenge (use Silver or Gold) for Queen Kat -- her blog is: http://www.inkonmyear.blogspot.com/

Here is the card:
I used Bazzill and Basic Grey Two Scoops (thanks for the RAK Alana!). The tree is Hero Arts, the Noel is Studio G and the dots on the ribbon are Art Warehouse all embossed in Gold Tinsel from Stampendous using Versa Mark. The ribbon is from Sharon's stash (thanks for sharing!) and the brads are from Oriental Trading. Oh and Pop Dots!

This is really nice. I love that tree stamp. Gotta get me one of those. lol lol lol

Better yet when I come up for the Halloween party maybe I will just bring it back home with me.

Saturday Cinema Challenge

OK - I missed the last TWO! of these so I am taking no chances on what looks like another busy work week. SO here is my entry for Miracle on 34th Street. I know this line is not in the movie (and that the little girls name is Susan in the movie) but this is what I always think of when I watch this movie. The reference "Yes Virginia There is a Santa Claus comes from a child writing to the Sun Newpaper and the editor answering with the spirit of the season. The card uses Bazzil Paper and Ribbon I forget the patterned paper brand. The Santa stamp is from Oriental Trading and the Letters are Studio G wooden letters. This is colored in with a combination of Tim Holtz inks (with the SU blender pen), Koh-i-nor pencils with mineral spirits and liquid applique. Brads, floss and a decorative eyelet round it out.

I will be MIA....

my father in law passed away this morning. We are catching a flight to LA Friday am. In the mean time this is the card I made for my mom-in-law. my dad in law was a great guy. he and I used to have long chats. I will miss him - he died this morning unexpectedly from a heart attack - he was 80. (thanks Karen for the help with the brads)
