Decoupage - LFL July 2018

Image
These Decoupage sheets add so much texture. I highlighted the lovely Friend with the ribbon from the kit and added some white Nuvo drops as well.  The second photo shows the depth of these - very cool!

LFL July 2018 - Beach Huts

Image
Using the wood veneer and the die cut provided in the kit I made a couple beach hut scenes. I am really enjoying the add on washy tape. It added just the touch to my second card.

LFL July 2018: Just For You

I'm loving these decoupage pieces. I added some peel-offs to this one.

Beach Scene: LFL July 2018

Image
This kit has been so much fun! I've had to sneak in time in between work travel to play with the kit. Finally got a few photos taken. The kit contains what the UK call decoupage - its images that you stack to make a scene. This is my 'beachiest' card - it uses the sand that came in the kit and one of the decoupage sheets. I watercolored the blue background - keeping it simple to keep the attention focused on the rest of the card. I added a few Nuvo drops in the corner and some real shells (all from the kit).  Such fun to make!

Sketches in Thyme #333

Image
Using a really old Basic Grey paper from my stash I created this layout of my dog Zack and and my grand fur baby Boston. -We have to leave the leash on Boston because he's a wanderer otherwise. - I used stamps from two sets: My Favorite Things - Two Legged Friends (for the dogs and the sentiment) and Simon Says Stamp - Pawprints on our Hearts (for the paw print).  I colored the dogs, giving them a bit of a muddy look, using my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. A few wood veneers and letter stickers from my stash rounded it out. Oh and Nuvo drops and Love From Lizi peel-offs - as always. I tore the background paper to match (?) the faded edges of the sketch. The inspiration sketch is: Thank you sketches in time for helping me to get back into scrapbooking!

Travel Side-order Mini Dies and Embossing Folder

Image
Got this fun mini kit on a recent work trip to CO. A little side trip to this scrapbook store, Scrap 2 It. It's a great store and an awesome friendly owner. I made the following cards with this cute little kit that works beautifully with the Sidekick. I used some scrap paper. It's fun to mix and match the patterned paper.

Sketches in Time #332

Image
Paper from my stash again. I pulled a bunch of leafy type dies from my stash and cut sparkly gold leaves. I used thicker for the title and added Nuvo drops. Because ... well ... the same thing with the peel-offs. Addiction never looked so cute! My take on #332 Sketches in Thyme:

Sketches in Time #331

Image
Sketches in Thyme #331 -- I used papers from my stash. Even pulled out the Creative Memories oval cutters and Creative Memory stickers. I watercolored the puppy and added it to my title. Nuvo drops were added as well. This was my interpretation of the following sketch:

LFL Left overs - the two of us

Image
Using the left over papers from the LFL card kit I created this layout of my hubby and I. The shiny bits are treated copper that I made tabs, the banner ends and even leaves out of. Very fun playing with the bendable metal.  This one was a good one for using items that I've had in my stash for a LONG time!

Purple Congrats

Image
This one was a request from a friend for a wedding. Used Honey Bee die with a variety of ribbon. A little gray LFL paper too. He could only tell me the wedding color was purple. So I kept the other two colors neutral (gray and silver). I die cut their names and added them to the inside.

Sticker Grouping LFL June 2018

Image
Using the sticker sheet I made a grouping to highlight the craftiness. They did not stay "stuck" without some help from my Nuvo glue. A little ribbon, some peel off and glitter paper complete the look. A simple but fun card.

DIY - LFL June 2018

Image
I love using the black diamond glitter paste on blue cardstock. It really matches well. I used a Tim Holtz stencil to get the diamond grid pattern. I did some matting for the focal point with a ribbon thrown in as well. And of course peel offs!

Sage the Journals - LFL June 2018

Image
A layout with the card kit supplies. I added a 12x12 and miscellaneous jewels, Nuvo drops as well. I might've over done that!

Handmade LFL June 2018

Another simple card from the LFL kit. This time the peel offs are from a previous LFL Kit.

Color Throw Down Challenge CTD#500

Image
I participated in the color throw down challenge this week. It happened to be their big 5-0-0. Wow! That's a lot of challenges. I loved the colors and tried to make a card that highlighted them. The challenge can be found  here . I used Honey Bees Spring Blossoms stamps and dies for the flowers. Gina K for the sentiment stamp. The blossoms were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Clear ink and embossed with Nuvo glitter gold embossing powder.  The flowers were watercolored using Tim Holtz distress ink (Spun Sugar and Blueprint Sketch) and to match the sentiment color I used TH Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch. I added a little Spun Sugar to the background as well, to add some interest.  I cut the frames from a set of stitched rectangle dies in my stash and popped it up on foam tape. I layered the blooms inside and added the one to the frame.

Exciting announcement

Image
I had so much fun making this layout! Scrapping my grandchild before they are born! Again with the pink and teal - but here it's appropriate as we wait to find out the sex of the baby. I layered this one up with pinks and silver mirror card stock. I used a water colored image I had made about 6 months ago and never got around to putting it on a card. I had fun clustering flowers from my stash, with Nuvo drops, and wood veneers. I foiled the black paper and used Thickers and some old Basic Grey stickers for the title.  This layout was pure fun!

Piggies at a Wedding

Image
My girlfriend needed a card for two friends of hers that got married. They happened to both be men. So I made this card from the Mama Elephant Lovely Piggies stamp and die set. I love this set.  I've been addicted to the combo of teal and pink lately. These stamps were watercolored using Distress Inks. I added a stamp from my stash highlighted with Wow white embossing powder. Some peel offs (LFL) add the final touch. Used a Little B die to finish the inside.

LFL June 2018: Crocheted Flowers

Image
I used the crochet flowers from the kit. The dies to make the buttons (flower centers). The three little bows set off the stems. I made three more "flowers" to fill in the background of the little scene. Wasn't sure if I should add a sentiment but I left it bare. A few peel-offs finished the card.

LFL June 2018: I Miss Your Face

Image
I trimmed out the center from the camera and made a small shaker.  Heffy Doodle stamp and die was used for the sentiment.

Makers cards LFL June 2018

Using some of the LFL June 2018 kit -- Papers and chipboard.  I'm planning on making these into thank you cards for the teachers at the next craft event I attend :)
