KWerner Color Challenge

Here are this weeks challenge colors:
KWerner

I used signature suite paper for the base card, bazzil paper (dark brown), SU punch, KI Memories Love series stamps, ribbon from my stash, CTMH white embossing powder (for the word) and all the hearts are pop dotted.

It was fun doing hearts in this non-standard color!

my father in law passed away this morning. We are catching a flight to LA Friday am. In the mean time this is the card I made for my mom-in-law. my dad in law was a great guy. he and I used to have long chats. I will miss him - he died this morning unexpectedly from a heart attack - he was 80. (thanks Karen for the help with the brads)

KWerner Color Challenge

In the worlds of Everclear (Warning: obscure song by obscure band reference but it has been running through my head this morning!) "Here we go again... I know, I know, I know, I know, I know... I know you had your doubts, I know you think I am crazy, I know your just like me!" here is my KWerner challenge. Yes I WAS going to spend all evening making gifts for my friends YES I did get distracted by this challenge. But it is TOO fun! Here are the colors that Kristin chose this week -- -for me it was a challenge! These colors are suppose to go together? hmmmm. Did I mention I LOVE these challenges. I got a box today from LoriMart (wooohooo) so I was all about using some new stuff. Oh and I HAD to use the template that Kristin offered up to every one with that beautiful swirl. Lets see - I used my Heidi Swapp mask with the Tim Holtz mini misters (mister contained worn lipstick and perfect pearls) to to make the swirls (and the heart in the title). All the travel arrangements are set...

I just need to start packing. So I took a break and made a card. This is for Challenge SCTL7 http://stampinglinkstolove.blogspot.com/ . This week is just add leaves. You need to have at least 5 leaves on your card. Here is my entry. Since things have been so sad around here lately I wanted to remind myself to smile The paper leaves are from Prima and the brad leaves are from my stash. The paper is from Basic Grey and Bazzill and yes it is the same paper as on the last card. The smile is a sticker - I dont remember the vendor but I got it at Target. The stamp is from Northwoods - (background on the paper) I used Ranger esspresso ink with vintage photo distress embossing powder. Everything is inked in ColorBox ink from a Que. The bling is from Kaiser.
