Saturday Cinema Challenge

Saturday Cinema -- this week is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory -- with the additional challenge of using bright colors.

Here is my try ---I used the dark tunnel (as well as all the fun candy) as my inspiration
Using Block Magic paper for the tunnel, stickles and Glossy Accents, Hero arts for the cupcake -- Koh-i-nor pencils - Making memories stickers (got them at Target!) -- and Inksentials white pen.

Love your card, so cute & perfect for the movie! Hey btw, I'm an engineer stamping as a creative outlet too!! Yay! :-) (well, ok, I haven't worked in a couple years to stay home with the kids, but still...) :-)

Holy Moly that is sparkley!!! Your card looks amazing Tracy - love the dark paper with the bright letters - totally pops them out - and the whole thing looks like candy! Beautiful!!!

my father in law passed away this morning. We are catching a flight to LA Friday am. In the mean time this is the card I made for my mom-in-law. my dad in law was a great guy. he and I used to have long chats. I will miss him - he died this morning unexpectedly from a heart attack - he was 80. (thanks Karen for the help with the brads)

Saturday Cinema - Gold Finger

I have had some scrapping time this weekend and while I am getting REALLY behind on my photos I am enjoying making cards! I used Creative imaginations patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, spellbinders cutters (had them forever - thought I should actually USE them!) Autumn Leaves Stamp, Gold Embossing, Gold Stickles, SU Scallop Punch, Ribbon from my stash,Dew Drops Made by Sharon and Pop Dots The paper reminded me of foreign places and the stamp reminded me of all Bond movies! Saturday Cinema Challenge

OK - I missed the last TWO! of these so I am taking no chances on what looks like another busy work week. SO here is my entry for Miracle on 34th Street. I know this line is not in the movie (and that the little girls name is Susan in the movie) but this is what I always think of when I watch this movie. The reference "Yes Virginia There is a Santa Claus comes from a child writing to the Sun Newpaper and the editor answering with the spirit of the season. The card uses Bazzil Paper and Ribbon I forget the patterned paper brand. The Santa stamp is from Oriental Trading and the Letters are Studio G wooden letters. This is colored in with a combination of Tim Holtz inks (with the SU blender pen), Koh-i-nor pencils with mineral spirits and liquid applique. Brads, floss and a decorative eyelet round it out.
