Beautiful Foil

Another SketchesInTime (#330) entry for me. This one is a layout of my daughter's birthday from 2008. I'm finishing up the photos I had printed from back then. I'm so far behind though I'm skipping up to 2017. Hopefully, since I'm crafting more, I'll catch back up and move backwards and meet in the middle. A girl can dream right? LOL.

I used a ton of old paper from my stash for this one. I was determined to get orange into the layout as it's my daughter's favorite color. The title is from years ago stickers from Doodlebug Designs. I foiled the two-sided stickers making the word 'beautiful'. Nuvo drops, flowers, etc. Making three little highlight areas around the title.

I will be MIA....

my father in law passed away this morning. We are catching a flight to LA Friday am. In the mean time this is the card I made for my mom-in-law. my dad in law was a great guy. he and I used to have long chats. I will miss him - he died this morning unexpectedly from a heart attack - he was 80. (thanks Karen for the help with the brads)

KWerner Color Challenge

I am having fun creating in my studio today. I gave KWerners challenge a try - here are the colors: Here is my interpretation: I used clear emboss and the resist technique -- I inked with Tim Holtz inks (the stamp is from Hero Arts) The ribbon is from Stampin Up and the paper is from scraps and of course Bazzill --- and Pop dots! It is a pretty simple card but I like it.
